Katelyn Willmott
Meet Katelyn
Katelyn knew from an early age that she wanted to become a lawyer. At 17 she was accepted to Queen Mary University of London and completed her LLB in 2015 with honors. During her time in London, UK, Katelyn volunteered with her university’s Pro-Bono clinic and with lawyers without Borders.Upon her return to Canada, Katelyn and her dog Hugo settled temporarily in Vancouver to complete her NCA exams. Katelyn volunteered during this time with Aitira Legal Advocacy Program providing advice to residents of the Vancouver’s Downtown east side. Molly joined the Willmott family in early 2016.
Katelyn and her two dogs relocated to Lethbridge in search of a warm and welcoming community. Katelyn completed her articles and was admitted to the bar in 2018. She has continued her practice in Southern Alberta, establishing Splitsville Divorce & Family Law in 2020. In 2020 Tabitha joined the Willmott family and Sushi joined the Splitsville family. Katelyn’s hobbies include cooking for friends and family, coulee walks with her dogs, knitting and crocheting.
Katelyn volunteers at LLG Legal clinics on a regular basis and is continually trying to find ways to give back to the community.
Our Story
Splitsville Divorce & Family Law opened its doors with the idea of approaching family law differently. Family law is for reaching and will affect most people in their lifetime, we believe that this area of law demands not only competency, but compassion when assisting our clients.
